For weariness

Rest for the Bone-Tired

4 min read

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Matthew 11:28

When you’re truly weary, the last thing you need is another instruction. And notice — Jesus doesn’t give one. He doesn’t say try harder or do more. He says come.

The invitation is not to a program. It’s to a person. Rest, in the way He means it, isn’t the absence of work — it’s the presence of Someone who carries what you cannot.

So come as you are, tired and behind and unfinished. He isn’t asking you to arrive rested. He’s offering to be your rest.

A prayer

Jesus, I am tired in a way sleep doesn’t fix. I come to You just as I am. Take the weight I’ve been carrying and give me the rest only You can give. Amen.
